Summary
Essex STaRS is a specialist treatment, prescribing and recovery service for patients with drug and alcohol dependency issues. The service offers opiate substitute prescribing programmes and alcohol detoxification. We work in partnership with other organisations that provide psychosocial and recovery support.
You will be responsible for providing effective clinical and non-clinical administrative support within the service for the multi-disciplinary teams.
To work as an integral part of the team supporting the delivery of all aspects of patient care. You will be expected to work with key partner organisations, service users, clinicians and other practitioners within the service.
Maintain the service user database on a daily basis
• Arrange clinic appointments for the service and send out appointment letters as appropriate and record onto Theseus
• Record all service user outcomes on to Theseus
• Provide typing support for assessments, successful completions, appointment outcomes etc.
• Organise / attend service meetings, taking appropriate minutes
• Ensure actions from service meetings are duly circulated and followed up
• Responsible for recording assessments and reviews onto Theseus and alerting the service of reviews due, ensuring relevant documentation is available
• Send letters to service users, GP’s and other agencies and record appropriately onto Theseus
• Provide collective and where required individual secretarial support to the serviOpen, sort and distribute incoming mail / emails and action as appropriate
• Deal with outgoing mail / emails as appropriate
• Receive telephone calls / take messages and pass on or deal with if appropriate
• Undertaking filing duties and ensure filing systems are maintained
• Coordinate and arrange meetings for the Team, taking appropriate minutes
• Undertake all scanning / photocopying requests from the team
• Cover colleagues during periods of leave
• Handling of petty cash
• Take part in service development and review
• Ensure the service meets the agreed performance/contractual targets and adheres to local and government initiatives
