Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of a renowned main dealer in Bedford for the position of Vehicle Technician. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician seeking to enhance their career within a professional workshop environment. The successful individual will be a key part of a supportive team committed to delivering high standards of vehicle maintenance and customer satisfaction.

- Basic salary up to £40,000, depending on experience

- OTE of approximately £44,000

- Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am – 5:30pm

- No weekend work

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct servicing, routine maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models

- Perform diagnostic and fault-finding work with precision

- Carry out MOT testing if qualified

- Ensure all repairs and inspections are completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards

- Adhere to health and safety procedures and manufacturer protocols

- Work independently and collaboratively to meet workshop targets

- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)

- Valid UK Driving Licence

- Own set of tools

- Proven technical ability and keen attention to detail

- Previous workshop experience in a similar role

- MOT licence is advantageous but not essential

- Strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to high-quality work
