Summary

This is a new post designed to support an important and growing service and to provide training which will equip the post holder to apply for a consultant job in the field. As such it will provide experience in all major aspects of intestinal failure work, will allow retention of more general gastroenterology skills and will also provide opportunities and time to work on service development which are hard to provide within a traditional SPR post. Ward duties, clinics and endoscopy lists will be allocated to the post appropriate to the skills and needs of the successful applicant. In addition there may be an opportunity to participate in the middle grade gastroenterology OOH rota which. This rota is non-resident on call.
