The band 5 occupational therapy rotation offers a great opportunity to gain breadth and depth of experience working alongside specialist staff, within an acute inpatient setting. We offer all newly qualified staff a preceptorship programme to support them in their transition from newly registered professional to competent practitioner. Undertake Occupational Therapy assessment & interventions to facilitate discharge and / or support rehabilitation Day to day management of caseload using effective time management and prioritisation Effective communication with patients, carers and staff Contribute to effective OT & MDT working Comply with NUHs policies & procedures Participate in CPD, supervision and appraisal process To comply with the Royal Colleges of Occupational Therapists Professional Standards of Practice, Conduct & Ethics (2026)
