As a Senior Business Support Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the processes that ensure the IT Department within DVLA can attract, develop, and retain the digital talent it needs.  This role combines operational delivery with continuous improvement responsibilities, supporting the IT Departments ambition to build a skilled and sustainable digital workforce.

You will manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns across our IT workforce, working with hiring managers to identify resourcing needs, coordinate recruitment activity and ensure compliance with policies. You will help optimise routes to market and ensure candidates are assessed and onboarded in a consistent, timely and inclusive way.

The role is responsible for implementing recruitment plans, supporting resourcing initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience, helping to strengthen DVLA's Digital employer brand.

A strong stakeholder focus is essential, working closely with hiring managers, HR colleagues, Communications teams, Finance and Commercial Services and third-party recruitment suppliers to coordinate recruitment activity, monitor progress, resolve issues and provide regular updates on recruitment outcomes and workforce plans.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring ITS (IT Services Department) has access to high quality workforce data and information to support recruitment and workforce planning
  • Identifying skill/competency requirements and critical role/skill across ITS providing data feed into recruitment and capability development plans.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners/Consultants/Recruitment Hub/3rd Party suppliers to support ITS in meeting its objectives, identifying non-alignment between the business needs and the HR service provision working with stakeholders to resolve these issues, evaluating, and continuously assessing their effectiveness.
  • Manage the delivery of recruitment activity across capabilities. Provide support and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, explaining policy, process and best practice. Act as a first point of escalation for recruitment related enquiries. Work closely with HR colleagues and stakeholders to support the successful attraction, selection and onboarding of candidates.
