The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a

Warehouse Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy and fast-paced operation in Bolton. This role is ideal for an experienced FLT driver who is comfortable working with steel products and has experience using a

Counterbalance FLT with a sideshift attachment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a

    • Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) with sideshift attachment to safely move steel pipes, tubes, and metal products throughout the warehouse.

  • Measuring and cutting metal materials accurately using a

    • bandsaw.

  • Loading, unloading, and relocating stock safely and efficiently.

  • Using

    • hand scanners to manage stock movements and order processing.

  • Using computer systems for stock control, tracking, and basic data entry.

  • Handling metal products and materials, including some heavier items.

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company health and safety procedures.

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Valid

    • FLT Counterbalance licence/certification (essential).

  • Previous

    • sideshift attachment experience and/or certification (essential).

  • Experience working within a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment.

  • Computer literacy and confidence using warehouse systems (essential).

  • Good numeracy and attention to detail when measuring and cutting materials.

  • Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.

  • Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety procedures.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
