We are looking for an experienced part time Van Driver to work for our established client in Grantham drivers are the face of their business, and they take great pride in providing a reliable, friendly, and professional service to every customer.
You will be driving the company vehicle typically within 60 mile radius in Lincolnshire, but this is a varied role that combines multi-drop deliveries, warehouse duties, and installations across Lincolnshire and occasionally throughout the UK.
Duties for the Van Driver include:
• Picking, loading, and delivering products to customers across Lincolnshire.
• Delivering and installing at customer premises nationwide (occasionally throughout the year).
• Collecting and processing customer returns.
• Completing daily delivery schedules.
• Keeping the customer service team informed of any delivery issues or customer queries.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties.
• Booking goods into stock using our computer system.
• Maintaining accurate stock locations.
• Carrying out daily and weekly vehicle checks to ensure the van is roadworthy.
You will be working 7.00am – 12.00pm Monday to Friday, although finish times may vary slightly depending on traffic etc. Occasionally throughout the UK there will be odd nights away and possibly up to a few days at one location for larger installs – all accommodation / dinners etc are paid and would possibly be a few weeks spread out over the year.
To be the Van Driver you must have:
• A full UK driving licence and over 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting, standing, walking, and carrying items for extended periods.
• Experience of driving the UK and delivering
• Trustworthy, diligent, enthusiastic, dependable, and hardworking
• Be adaptable and enjoy a varied working day.
• Have practical DIY skills.
• Good organisational skills and basic computer knowledge.
