We are currently seeking skilled, passionate, and reliable interpreters to provide face‑to‑face language support for individuals with limited English proficiency.

What you’ll be doing
As a face‑to‑face interpreter, you will deliver vital language support to a range of organisations, particularly within Health and Social Care.
Assignments may include supporting individuals accessing services through the NHS, local councils, charities, and private businesses.
You will play a key role in breaking down communication barriers, ensuring every person has access to the services and support they need.
Please note: This role involves regular travel within and around the Berkshire region.
Locations include: Slough, Reading, Ascot, Windsor, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Thatcham, Newbury, Camberley, Berkshire.
Languages we are recruiting for include (but are not limited to):
Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Bengali, Hungarian, Italian, Nepalese, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Somali, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.
We also welcome British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters — both Registered Sign Language Interpreters (RSLI) and Trainee Sign Language Interpreters (TSLI).
What we’re looking for
Essential skills and attributes:
• Excellent communication skills in English and your additional language
• Strong organisational abilities
• Professionalism, reliability, and an empathetic approach
• Confidence interpreting across medical, social care, and community settings
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child & Adult Workforce, with both Barred Lists) — support available if you need to apply
• Eligibility for self‑employment in the UK
Please note: This is a self‑employed position, and you’ll be responsible for your own tax registration with HMRC.
