We are seeking a Lecturer to contribute to the maintenance of academic excellence in teaching, assessment, supervision and administration in cardiac physiology. You will help to develop and improve curricula and will be expected to carry out scholarly activities related to your specialist area and/or biomedical education. Based in the Department of Molecular & Biomedical Sciences at our Tooting campus, you will be part of a diverse group of academic staff with expertise in fundamental, clinical and anatomical sciences.

You will provide specialist teaching in Cardiac physiology and related topics, offering academic, professional and pastoral guidance for study, research projects and clinical placements. You will design, create and implement effective assessments that meet institutional and professional standards and will be expected to develop and maintain relationships with clinical partners to support our learners. You will be required to undertake administrative duties to support the programme and department, working closely with colleagues within the School.

To be successful in your application you will have experience of working as a Clinical Physiologist in the NHS, with specialist knowledge and practical experience of cardiac physiology. Experience of teaching on Healthcare Science or closely related programmes is essential. You should have the demonstrable ability and current knowledge of effective teaching and assessment strategies. As part of your new role you will work independently and with colleagues to contribute to the strategic aims of the programme and department in delivering high quality education and enhancing the student experience.
