Hays Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in a variety of friendly and supportive primary schools across Rugby. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Classroom Assistants, or anyone with previous experience supporting children in an education setting.

As a Teaching Assistant in Rugby, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, helping them to achieve their full potential in the classroom. Schools across Rugby are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants who can make a positive difference to children's learning and development.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

Supporting teaching and learning as a Teaching Assistant

Providing 1:1 support and small group intervention sessions

Supporting pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs

Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities

Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and progress

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or similar

Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or youth work setting

A positive, patient, and proactive attitude

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for supporting children's education
