The Role

This is a

full-time, long-term Graduate Year Leader position supporting a specific year group.

• Earn between

£25,000 – £28,000 per annum.

• Work closely alongside the Head of Year to monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and student progress.

• Act as a key point of contact for students, providing support with academic, pastoral, and emotional challenges.

• Help deliver assemblies, mentoring sessions, and wider school pastoral initiatives.

• Build positive relationships with students and support their personal development.

• Liaise with parents, teachers, senior leaders, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

• Gain first-hand experience of working within a busy and supportive school pastoral team.

• Develop valuable behaviour management, safeguarding, communication, and leadership skills.

• Gain excellent preparation for future teacher training or pastoral leadership routes.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Graduate Year Leader who is:

• Educated to degree level, with a

2:1 or above preferred.

• Confident, organised, and emotionally intelligent.

• Passionate about supporting the personal development and wellbeing of young people.

• A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

• Professional, calm under pressure, and committed to inclusive education.

• Ideally experienced in working with young people through schools, youth groups, mentoring, tutoring, sports, or similar settings.

• Interested in developing a long-term career in education, with a particular interest in pastoral care, safeguarding, behaviour, or leadership.

• Resilient and motivated, with the ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
