Summary

Job Title: Health and Social Care Lecturer

Location: West London

Salary: Up to £42 per hour (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time

Start Date: Starting in Sept

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Lecturer to join a Further Education college in West London.

You will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Health and Social Care courses, supporting students to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for careers in the sector. This is a great opportunity to inspire learners and contribute to workforce development in health and care.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons across Health and Social Care courses (e.g. Level 1-3, T Levels)

Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements

Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support

Support students with academic and pastoral needs to promote achievement and retention

Contribute to curriculum development and course improvement

Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment

Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and placement providers

Ensure teaching meets safeguarding, equality, and quality standards

About You

Experience teaching Health and Social Care in an FE College or similar setting

Strong subject knowledge within the Health and Social Care sector

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential

Desirable:

Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)

Industry experience in health or social care settings

Experience delivering T Levels or vocational qualifications
