Summary

A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Applications are invited for the post of a Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedics to start as soon as possible until 30 June 2027.

This post is particularly suited to those wishing to gain experience in Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedics including elective and fracture clinics, elective operating sessions and inpatient care

Successful applicants are encouraged to undertake quality improvement projects. 

Please note that this post doesnotcarry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

This post is based in the Department of Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedics. The department provides elective orthopaedic and emergency limb trauma care to the local population and the wider East of England region. 

We provide both general and specialist orthopaedic and trauma care. Specialist services include a dedicated Ponseti clinic, specialist neuromuscular and spina bifida clinics, limb deformity correction and a DDH clinic. There are close links with the adult trauma and orthopaedic team.

The posts offer training and experience identical to Specialty Trainees. You will have the opportunity to join in the wide range of educational and training opportunities within the Department which match those of recognised training posts.
