Everliving Services is looking for a compassionate, reliable and flexible Domiciliary Care Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes and within the community.
You will help clients remain safe, comfortable and independent while respecting their dignity, rights, preferences and personal choices.
As this is a community-based role involving travel between clients’ homes, a valid UK driving licence is essential.
Core responsibilities
Personal care: Support clients with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, continence care and using the toilet while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
Medication support: Prompt, assist or administer medication safely when trained and authorised to do so.
Meals and nutrition: Prepare meals, drinks and snacks according to clients’ dietary requirements, preferences and care plans.
Household support: Assist with light cleaning, laundry, changing bed linen, washing dishes and disposing of household waste.
Companionship: Provide conversation, reassurance and emotional support to promote wellbeing and reduce loneliness.
Appointments and community activities: Support clients with shopping, collecting prescriptions, attending appointments and participating in social activities.
Promoting independence: Encourage clients to remain active, make their own choices and complete tasks they can safely manage.
Health monitoring: Observe changes in clients’ physical health, mood, behaviour or general wellbeing and report concerns promptly.
Record-keeping: Complete accurate care notes, medication records and other required documentation after each visit.
Communication: Build positive and professional relationships with clients, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
Safe working: Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, infection control, medication, health and safety, and risk-management procedures.
Travel between clients’ homes across the Raunds area and work flexibly according to scheduled visits and service needs.
Attend required training, supervision and staff meetings.
