Summary

About the Role

Address Healthcare is looking for caring, reliable and motivated Care Assistants who are drivers and have access to their own vehicle to join our growing domiciliary care team.

As a Community Care Assistant, you will visit people in their own homes and provide high-quality, person-centred care that enables them to remain safe, comfortable and independent.

Previous care experience is welcomed but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided to suitable candidates.

We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, dependable and committed to making a positive difference to the people they support.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing and toileting

- Supporting clients with medication in accordance with their care plans and company procedures

- Preparing meals and supporting clients with eating and drinking

- Providing companionship and emotional support

- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers

- Assisting with light household duties

- Supporting clients to access their local community where required

- Following individual care and support plans

- Accurately recording care provided using our electronic care system

- Reporting changes in a client's health, wellbeing or circumstances

- Maintaining dignity, privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries

- Following safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures

- Travelling between clients' homes throughout your shift

Experience

Previous experience within domiciliary care, residential care, healthcare or support work is desirable but not essential.
