Catering Assistant
Contract: Full Time - Perm
Hour: 35 – 37 hours per week
Pay: £13.08 per hour weekdays & £13.58 per hour weekends
Shift Times: 9am to 5pm – Weekday and alternative Weekends
Location: Oxhey Drive, South Oxhey, Watford, WD19 7HR

Catering Assistant to join our Care Home
Pinewood Lodge in South Oxhey, Watford. If you’re passionate about good food and want your work to genuinely make a difference, this could be the perfect role for you.
Exciting developments are underway at Pinewood Lodge, which will soon relocate to a brand-new, purpose-built care home in the South Oxhey area at Furzewood Lodge Care Home. The modern facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide an excellent working environment and will include a newly fitted, fully equipped commercial kitchen.
As a
Catering Assistant you will support the preparation and serving of nutritious meals, and help create a welcoming dining experience that promotes residents health, wellbeing and dignity.
What You’ll Bring
•
A team‑focused attitude and good communication skills
•
Experience in food preparation and service preferred, however full training is provided
•
Familiarity with hygiene standards
•
Reliability and good Customer Service skills
•
A positive, caring and compassionate attitude
•
Ability to follow Chefs
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
•
Preparation and serving of meals
•
Assisting residents with dining needs where required
•
Follow high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
•
Support the kitchen team with cleaning and washing duties
•
Supporting with stock and storage
•
Follow any other task requirements from the Chefs
