We're currently looking for
compassionate and proactive Female Live-In Support Workers
to join a dedicated care package in
Malvern Link
Worcestershire.
In this role, you'll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.
Meet the Client:
You'll be supporting a
warm and active gentleman
living with a spinal cord injury. He enjoys staying involved in life as much as possible and values the companionship of his support team. A dedicated vegetarian, he loves sharing tasty veggie meals and needs some assistance with caring for his
two much-loved dogs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful relationship while making a real difference in someone's daily life.
When you'll be working:
Rolling rota 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off
Living in the client's home 24/7 when on shift
Zero hour contact with regular shifts as above
What you will be doing:
Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters as much as possible
Liaise with and support the family as required
Assist the client to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained (including washing, dressing and toileting)
Driving the client and supporting him to access local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events
Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
Maintain accurate and confidential records
Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client
Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the care manager as appropriate
What you will have:
Experience in care or a similar role
Full UK drivers' licence (to drive the clients vehicle)
Kindness, patience, and a proactive attitude
A love for dogs is a big plus!
