Summary

Early Years Practitioner - Fixed term until 29/06/2027

Murrayburn Primary

Salary:£22,563-25,750 (pro-rata term time/sessional)

Hours 12 Per week, 39 Weeks Sessional

Murrayburn Primary is in the Sighthill area of Edinburgh. We have an EYC, Enhanced Support Base and in session 2026/27 10 Mainstream classes. We require an experienced, qualified and registered EYP to work in our P1 & P2 classes with a small team to support learners. This will also include working in the Playground and our dedicated Playroom. A PVG for Children is also required. Experience with supporting pupils with Additional Support Needs and a current First Aid certificate is also welcome but not essential.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
