We're Hiring: Freelance Site Engineer
Location: Preston
Sectors: Civils scheme
Day rate: £320 to £420 per day
Duration: Ongoing
We are hiring for Freelance Site Engineer's for an upcoming civils scheme on a waste transfer centre in Preston.
Key Responsibilities of a Freelance Site Engineer:
- Manage and supervise day-to-day earthworks and civils activities ensuring works are completed safely and accurately in accordance to drawings and spec.
- Set out and monitor cut/fill levels, formation levels, platform levels, drainage etc
- Produce and maintain groundworks calculations
- Setting out externals works
- Work closely with the CM, PM, and SM, alongside subcontractors
- Maintain accurate site records
Experience Required for the Freelance Site Engineer:
- Proven experience as a site engineer
- Strong setting out experience using modern surveying equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Experience working with subcontractors
- CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid (desirable not essential), engineering qualification.
Day rate/salary:
- Day rate flexible
- Weekly pay on a Friday
