About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at B&Q Harlow.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues and the store. You will be expected to provide a visible security presence, respond professionally to incidents and support the store team when required.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide a professional and visible security presence within the store.
-Help protect customers, colleagues and company property.
-Monitor and respond appropriately to security incidents.
-Deter theft and assist with the prevention of loss.
-Complete incident reports and other required documentation.
-Communicate effectively with store management and the security team.
-Follow company and site security procedures.
-Use basic IT systems and mobile applications to complete daily tasks and reports.
-Maintain a professional and customer-friendly approach at all times.
Essential Requirements
-Good communication skills.
-Good spoken and written English.
-Basic IT skills, including the ability to use mobile apps, Outlook and other basic computer systems.
-Professional, reliable and punctual.
-Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
-A customer-focused approach.
-A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence.
