Summary

The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK logistics provider for a

Class 2 (C) HGV Tramper Day Driver based near

Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Our client delivers tailored logistics solutions for a major kitchen manufacturer supplying kitchen furniture products to approved retail outlets, domestic customers and the construction sector across the UK.

Role Overview

HGV Class 2 driving using de-mountable trailers (Training will be provided).

A mixture of single drop runs or multidrop runs dependant on planning.

3 to 4 nights out per week

Opportunities for both single-person and two-person delivery crews.

Working alongside a porter, with cab-sharing during overnight stays.

Manual handling required, including the offloading of high-end kitchens.

CSCS Labourer Card would be advantageous but is not essential.

Pay & Benefits

£15.60 per hour.

Night out allowance £ 25.00 per night.

All breaks are paid.

Requirements

Valid UK Class 2 (C) licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph card.

Maximum of 9 penalty points (minor offences only)

No DD, DR, CD, or TT99 endorsements

Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience in the UK

Good communication and sound knowledge of UK road networks

Successful applicants will be required to complete online registration, and undergo an induction process which typically lasts around three days with a Driver Trainer, followed by several days working alongside an experienced Driver Mentor before being signed off.
