Cargo Warehouse Operative / X-ray screeners

to work for one of our clients based at East Midlands Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in logistics, distribution and supply chain management, with full Aviation and X-ray Training provided.

Pay:

- 12.71ph (08:00-20:00) - 13.70 (20:00-08:00)

Duration:

Ongoing

Hours: 5 out of 7 Monday-Sunday 22:00-05:00

Requirements of a Cargo Warehouse Operative :

Apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!)

Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!)

Have an in date and valid Photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc)

Provide a full 5-year address history

Attend an Aviation Security Course (Paid for by us!)

Role of a Cargo Warehouse Operative :

Trained to air side standards

Labelling Parcels

Scanning Parcels

Uploading information on to a Computer

Lifting and Moving Parcels (may be up to 10kg in certain areas)

Physical Inspection of Cargo

Operation of x-ray machines

Responsible for using x-ray machines to identify dangerous objects in cargo and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft

Maintain focus and awareness within an environment containing numerous distractions, people and noise

Work within a demanding environment, time critical and the requirement to identify and locate potentially life-threatening devices and devices intended on creating massive destruction

Make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations
