Summary

HGV Class 1 Driver (LGV C+E) - Nights & Weekends

Location: Nottingham (NG90)

Job Type: Full-time / Ongoing Work / Flexible Shifts

Peak Pay Rates (effective from 23rd August)

  • HGV Class 1 Day Driver: £17.40 per hour

  • HGV Class 1 Night Driver: £18.40 per hour

  • Weekend HGV Driver: £22.70 per hour

  • Overtime (after 9.6 hours):

    • £26.10 per hour (days)

    • £27.60 per hour (nights)

  • Guaranteed minimum: 9.6 hours per shift

Drivers who complete 12 weeks of service will recieve a bonus in January on all hours worked.

Pay Rates

  • HGV Class 1 Day Driver: £15.40 per hour

  • HGV Class 1 Night Driver: £16.40 per hour

  • Weekend HGV Driver: £20.70 per hour

  • Overtime (after 9.6 hours):

    • £23.10 per hour (days)

    • £24.46 per hour (nights)

  • Guaranteed minimum: 9.6 hours per shift

About the Role

The Best Connection is recruiting

HGV Class 1 Drivers (LGV C+E Drivers) for ongoing work with a leading

pharmaceutical distribution company in Nottingham (Beeston area).

This role is ideal for experienced drivers or newly qualified HGV drivers looking for

reliable, well-paid Class 1 driving work in Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing

    • 1-3 drops per shift (multi-drop HGV driving)

  • Driving

    • Class 1 curtain-sided vehicles (no heavy lifting or handballing required)

  • Carrying out

    • vehicle checks and trailer inspections

  • Ensuring

    • load security and compliance

  • Communicating with the

    • transport and logistics team

  • Following

    • tachograph regulations and driver hours rules

  • Completing delivery paperwork and debriefs

Requirements

  • Valid

    • HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) licence

  • Valid

    • Driver CPC qualification card

  • Digital

    • tachograph card (Digi card)

  • Minimum 1 year experience preferred, but

    newly qualified HGV drivers welcome (assessment required)
