Summary

We are currently recruiting for

Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVA), including a

Specialist BAME IDVA, and

Domestic Abuse Practitioners (DAP) to join a well-established domestic abuse service supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse.

Job Title: Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) / Specialist BAME IDVA / Domestic Abuse Practitioner (DAP)

Location: Staffordshire / Stoke-on-Trent (Hybrid/Home-based may be considered for the right candidate)

Hours: Full-time - Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Contract: Temporary

Pay Rate: Up to

£22 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a caseload of individuals affected by domestic abuse

Completing DASH risk assessments, safety planning, and ongoing risk management

Providing advocacy and practical support to clients

Working closely with safeguarding teams and multi-agency partners, including MARAC

Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures

Supporting clients to access housing, legal, health, and other support services

Experience Required:

Previous experience working within domestic abuse services

Experience using the DASH Risk Assessment and safety planning

Strong knowledge of safeguarding and risk management

Experience supporting vulnerable individuals with complex needs

For the Specialist BAME IDVA role, experience supporting Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, including clients with English as a second language and those with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF), is highly desirable

Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult) and Right to Work in the UK
