Production Line Leader

Location: Evesham

Salary:

£31,000 per year

Shift Pattern:

Rotational shifts – Monday to Sunday

Environment: Chilled food production

We are looking for an experienced and motivated

Production Line Leader to join our team in Evesham.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous

production, food manufacturing or team leader/supervisory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and leading a team to achieve production, quality and safety targets.

The Role

As a Production Line Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of Production Operatives, including agency staff, ensuring the production line runs safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Please note: The company operates

7 days a week, so this is

not a Monday-to-Friday role. You will be required to work a

rotational shift pattern, including weekends, according to the business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, organise and allocate team members to meet daily production targets.

• Set up the production line and ensure jobs are completed with minimal disruption.

• Monitor production performance against targets and take action where required.

• Order raw materials and packaging as needed.

• Ensure the correct packaging is being used and avoid unnecessary packaging on the line.

• Complete production/job sheets accurately and on time.

• Monitor performance boards and ensure any missing information or reasons are recorded.

• Ensure quality standards and service levels are consistently achieved.

• Monitor waste and help reduce waste in line with company targets.

• Complete required Health & Safety checks and report any issues promptly.

• Ensure accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions are reported.

• Make sure the team follows all Health & Safety procedures and uses PPE correctly.

• Keep the production area clean, organised and tidy.

• Identify and report recurring production issues to the Section Controller and Shift Manager.

• Support managers and supervisors with the day-to-day running of the operation.

• Act as a point of contact for team members and escalate any concerns when required.

• Deputise for colleagues or the immediate line manager when trained and competent to do so.

• Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the business.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a

Production, Manufacturing or Team Leader/Supervisory role is desirable.

• Food production experience is an advantage.

• Experience working in a

chilled environment is desirable.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to delegate, motivate and brief a team effectively.

• Confident leading a diverse team and working with people from different backgrounds and cultures.

• Reliable, organised and self-motivated.

• Able to work independently and use your own initiative.

• Good understanding of Health & Safety.

• Basic Food Hygiene and Manual Handling qualifications are advantageous.

Flexible and willing to work a rotational shift pattern, including weekends.
