Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at our Loxton Campus in Weston-super-Mare.

As a Lecturer in Progressions, you will teach in the NEET Prevention team on the progression programme, Future Ready.

You will:

Providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a number of programmes as agreed with the Head of Area.

Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.

For meeting targets with reference to student progress on programme, for their attendance and retention.

Providing advice and guidance to students in their progression to either employment or other courses within the College.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Degree-level or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.

Teaching experience and knowledge of current teaching strategies

Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.

You will also need to either hold a teaching qualification, or be willing to gain this whilst in post (with the support of Weston College)
