Summary
Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Belfast who are seeking an experienced
Freight Forwarder with a strong background in
Deep Sea Import Operations & Customs Clearance.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, collaborative team where you'll take ownership of international shipments from origin through to final delivery, working closely with customers, shipping lines, customs authorities and transport providers.
Responsibilities
- Managing end-to-end
- Coordinating bookings with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents and other key stakeholders.
- Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Handling customs clearance processes and ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Preparing and processing import documentation including Bills of Lading and customs entries.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Resolving shipment, customs and transport-related issues efficiently.
- Providing proactive updates and exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Deep-Sea Import shipments.
Criteria
- Previous experience within Freight Forwarding
- Strong knowledge of
- Experience with customs procedures and customs clearance documentation
- Excellent understanding of shipping and import documentation
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
