TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming SEND Provisions in Wakefield, who are looking to appoint SEND Specialist Teaching Assistants. we are looking to take on SEND Specialist Teaching Assistants on either a short-term or long-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful Behaviour Support Worker will support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, delivering a mixture of 1:1 support and small group interventions, promoting positive behaviour and helping students engage successfully with their learning.
The successful Behaviour Support Worker will have:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and challenging behaviours
- Experience working within an Alternative Provision, SEND setting or similar environment
- Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
- A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding process
