Job Overview
Fantastic opportunity to join the Mitie and Marks & Spencer family!
We are looking for a professional and adaptable Site Protection Officer (SPO) to provide exceptional security cover across Marks & Spencer Distribution Centres in Faversham.
As an SPO, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment for staff, visitors, and contractors, protecting company assets, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality service across all DCs. You will be required to work a regular scheduled 19:00-07:00 shift on Saturday and Sunday however flexibly across days, nights, and weekends, including short-notice cover would be a bonus.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
-Provide professional security cover across multiple M&S Distribution Centres.
-Deliver outstanding customer service in line with Mitie and M&S key values.
-Maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and incident reporting.
-Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and vehicle movements in accordance with site procedures.
-Conduct regular internal and external patrols to ensure site safety and security.
-Support the prevention and investigation of theft, stock loss, and unauthorised access.
-Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following site protocols.
-Assist site management and permanent SPO teams to maintain smooth and compliant operations.
-Work flexibly to meet operational requirements, including short-notice assignments.
-Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and company security policies.
Person Specification
✅ Literate and numerate with strong attention to detail and IT skills.✅ Professional appearance and high personal standards.✅ Adaptable, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.✅ Excellent and clear verbal communication and interpersonal skills as you will be speaking over a radio and members of the public.✅ Calm under pressure with a positive, “can-do” attitude.✅ Must hold a valid front-line SIA Licence.✅ Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
