The Role
As the Year 5 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their best. You'll create a positive classroom environment, maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, and work closely with colleagues to support pupils' academic progress and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 5 class
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can succeed
- Maintain effective behaviour management and high expectations for learning
- Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress across the curriculum
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity of learning
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has strong experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally within Year 5
- Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and behaviour management
- Is confident, adaptable, and able to quickly establish positive classroom routines
- Builds strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one
