Summary

Are you an experienced Service Advisor seeking a new opportunity with a reputable employer in Swindon? Our client, a well-established, family-run motor retail group and an AM Award Dealer Group of the Year winner, is looking to recruit a professional and motivated Vehicle Service Advisor to join their busy Service Department.

Duties of a Service Advisor:

- Greet customers and book vehicles in for service or repair work

- Advise customers on vehicle issues, providing technical guidance where necessary

- Liaise closely with the workshop team, chasing work in progress and updating customers regularly

- Upsell additional services and products where appropriate

- Take payments for completed work and process transactions efficiently

- Promote service plans and warranty options to maximise sales

- Maintain high standards of customer service to ensure customer satisfaction

- Work alongside colleagues to meet departmental targets and deliver a first-class customer experience

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Service Advisor or similar within the motor trade

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- Proven ability to influence customer decisions and upsell services effectively

- Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic procedures, with experience in warranty work highly advantageous (though not essential)

- Proficiency in IT systems; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop DMS is beneficial but not mandatory

- Organised with excellent time management skills

- Enthusiasm for working within a manufacturer-approved environment and delivering exceptional customer service
