Summary

In addition to conducting inpatient and regional consultations, supporting the delivery of the paediatric antimicrobial stewardship and outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (P-OPAT) services, outpatient services and supporting the regional paediatric infectious diseases and immunology network, you will be expected to lead on the delivery of HCID surge requirements for children within University Hospital Southampton, in line with NHSE requirements as a designated surge centre. You will lead the Paediatric HIV service. Clinical cover is delivered as a consultant of the week model and will be via annualised hours. You would be expected to provide consultant of the week cover for 14 weeks per year. There is also a 24/7 on-call rota providing telephone advice to the Childrens Hospital and to the region you would provide 1 in 4 on-call cover.
