Summary
A Vacancy at East London NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a 2 year apprenticeship for early-career analysts working in healthcare starting in October 2026.
For 4 days per week at East London NHS Foundation Trust you’ll be playing a key role in identifying and reducing health inequalities for the population we serve. You will do this by developing public health intelligence tools, including systems for data collection and quality assurance. Using this data, you will design and develop reports, dashboards and databases to utilise this information, with the aim of driving evidence-based decision making. Your work will help to improve population outcomes and reduce health inequalities in Mental Health and Community Health settings.
The apprenticeship is suitable for junior level staff with no more than 3 years experience (as an analyst) who want to grow their career from a junior analyst position to a more senior role. It is not suitable for those who hold a public health degree or are educated to a Masters Degree level in a numerate/analytical discipline. Learners will need to have studied a statistical module at university or have a willingness to learn and ability to apply statistics in a project.
1 day per week of your working week will be set aside for participation in the apprenticeship and off‑the‑job learning. · Introduction to Health and Social Care and Onboarding Training (c. 4 weeks)
· Professional Development of self and others wishing to work in Health and Social Care Intelligence (c. 9 weeks)
· Leadership & Project Management (c. 17 weeks)
· Research Methods, Study Design, Analysis and Reporting Results (c. 31 weeks)
· Mock End-point assessment and Gateway Preparation (c. 7 weeks).
