Summary
West Berkshire Council is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Regional School Effectiveness Partner to join our School Improvement team. This is a key strategic role, working directly with schools to raise standards, improve outcomes for pupils, and ensure excellence in teaching and leadership across a defined group of schools. You will provide effective challenge and professional support to headteachers, senior leaders and governing bodies, supporting them to deliver sustained school improvement aligned with local and national priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver high-quality school improvement support in line with the council’s service offerProvide challenge, support and intervention to schools, tailored to needAdvise governors on headteacher performance management and leadership effectiveness Use performance data and intelligence to identify risks and drive improvement strategies Maintain robust oversight of school performance, including Ofsted readiness and outcomesSupport schools with curriculum development, assessment and self-evaluationWork collaboratively with education partners, maintaining strong professional relationshipsPromote safeguarding, equality and inclusion across all aspects of the roleWe are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.Shortlisting will take place on the 21st of September, successful candidates will be invited to an initial Teams call on the 23rd of September. Final interviews will take place on the 28th of September in Newbury.
