Summary

FM Conway are looking for an experienced Planner to join our team, supporting the delivery of the Croydon Flyover and Lewisham High Street projects, alongside any further projects allocated to the team. Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, commercial teams and client planners, you'll play a key role in developing, managing and maintaining accurate project programmes that support successful project delivery.

With a strong focus on programme management, you'll use your expertise in Primavera P6 to produce, update and submit contract programmes, ensuring project teams have clear visibility of progress, risks, milestones and delivery requirements. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure projects while continuing to develop your career within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

Grow your career with us

At FM Conway, we're committed to developing our people. As our Planner, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced project teams on technically challenging infrastructure projects, gaining exposure across planning, construction delivery and commercial management.

We invest in ongoing professional development, supporting both internal progression and external training opportunities, giving you the tools to continue building a successful long-term career with us.

This is a full-time permanent position based from our Head Office in Sevenoaks.

As one of our Planners, you will:

Produce fully logic-linked construction programmes with clear critical paths, float, constraints and contractual milestones.

Develop, update and maintain contract programmes using Primavera P6, incorporating actual progress, revised forecasts and current construction information.

Produce design programmes, procurement schedules, construction programmes and short-term lookahead programmes.

Prepare programme narratives, progress reports, mitigation plans and recovery programmes.

Identify programme risks and challenge information provided by the wider project team.

Support change control processes and understand the relationship between programme, delay and commercial entitlement.

Work closely with Project Managers, site teams, commercial teams and client planners to ensure effective programme management throughout project delivery.

What skills and experience do you need?

We're looking for an experienced Planner with strong knowledge of construction programming and project delivery. Primavera P6 experience is essential, as the successful candidate will be responsible for producing, updating and submitting contract programmes using the software.

You'll have experience producing logic-linked construction programmes, managing critical paths, assessing programme risk and developing mitigation and recovery plans. You'll also have a strong understanding of how programme management links to construction delivery, change control, delay and commercial entitlement.

With experience working collaboratively with project teams, site teams, commercial functions and clients, you'll have the communication skills needed to influence decision-making and support successful project outcomes.

Why join FM Conway?

At FM Conway, you're not just joining a company, you're joining a business built around its people.

We invest in our colleagues, celebrate success and provide opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career. Whether you're looking to broaden your experience across major infrastructure projects or take the next step in your career, we'll support you every step of the way.
