Summary
Job purpose:
To provide secretarial, administrative support and assistance to fee earner
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Assisting with the preparation of contracts, leases and other property related documentation using Case management and digital systems and web-based portals.
2. Drafting routine correspondence, preparing standard legal documents and updating case files accurately and efficiently.
3. Ordering searches and dealing with Land Registry documentation.
4. Assisting wit exchange, completion and post-completion matters.
5. Preparing completion statements and associated documentation.
6. Liasing with Accounts to arrange money transfers, preparing risk and compliance documentation and coordinating with colleagues to ensure all required checks and processes are completed.
7. Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and solicitors. Ensuring clear and timely communication at every stage of the conveyancing process.
8. Making and receiving telephone calls, dealing with clients in person and on the phone, making appointments and assisting with queries.
9. Accurate typing including audio typing, preparing and amending draft documents, opening files, sending initial letters and providing clients with quotes.
10. Preparing completed files for storage, general filing, photocopying and other duties as required.
11. Providing administrative and legal support to the wider team.
12. Carrying out all other general clerical duties and providing reception cover as needed during holidays and sickness.
