Summary
Clinical Work Deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions for adults referred to Liaison Psychiatry. Formulate and implement evidence based treatment plans. Provide consultation, advice and formulation support to MDT colleagues. Undertake risk assessment and contribute to psychologically informed care planning. Service Development & Leadership Work with senior colleagues to coordinate the psychology offer within Liaison Psychiatry. Lead or contribute to service redesign, audit, evaluation and research projects. Support the embedding of practice based evidence and evidence based practice across the service. Help shape psychologically informed pathways across acute hospital settings. Teaching, Training & Supervision Deliver psychologically informed training programmes to hospital and liaison staff. Provide a proportion of supervision to psychology staff, trainees and non psychology clinicians delivering psychological interventions. Support doctoral trainee placements and contribute to teaching for professional training courses. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across acute and community settings. Communicate highly complex and sensitive information with skill and compassion the JD highlights the need to work with clients who may be hostile, antagonistic or highly emotionally disturbed.
