Summary
Provision of psychiatric care to CYP in the local borough crisis/HTT pathways through evaluation, diagnosis, and use of appropriate treatment plans/strategies for children presenting with mental health difficulties. Liaison and joint working with Greenwich, Bexley and Bromley CAMHS teams, as needed depending on the needs of the young person carers and professional network. High quality note keeping and adherence to clinical standards on our electronic patient record, RiO. Contributing to decisions regarding care plans, discharges, and treatment of patients in accordance with medical standards. Consultation to the teams in the Crisis pathway around psychiatric issues. Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure delivery of the right treatment for each young person referred in keeping with evidence-based practice. To manage, appraise and give professional supervision to junior medical staff as agreedbetween consultant colleagues and the medical director and in accordance with the Trusts personnel policies and procedures. To lead on improving the quality of clinical assessments carried out by the HTT/ crisis team by ensuring adherence to clinical standards and providing training as appropriate to clinical staff in the crisis team. To support evidence-based clinical pathways and compliance with CAMHS clinical standards. To promote and encourage the implementation of evidence-based clinical practice in the Crisis pathway by drawing on agreed Professional Standards and Guidelines.
