Location: Derby
Contract: Long-Term Contract
Pay: Excellent Rates (Inside IR35)
Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)
Weekend Working: Occasional weekends may be required

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected organisation based in Derby, offering an exciting long-term contract for an experienced Production Manager to lead and drive production performance within a fast-paced engineering environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major rail programme, managing production teams to deliver high-quality work safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The Role
As Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily production activities, ensuring operational targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, manage resources effectively, and ensure customer expectations are consistently
exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate production teams to achieve operational objectives.
Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Manage production planning, resources, and workflow.
Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to maximise productivity and efficiency.
Promote a strong health, safety, and quality culture.
Work collaboratively with engineering, planning, quality, and project teams.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
Manage shift performance and resolve operational challenges as they arise.
What Were Looking For
Were keen to speak with experienced Production Managers who have proven leadership experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance environment.
Ideally, youll have experience within the rail rolling stock sector however, we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience from industries such as:
Aerospace
Automotive
Heavy Engineering
Defence
Manufacturing
Ex-Forces personnel with relevant leadership and operational management experience
Requirements
Previous experience managing production or operational teams.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
