The Cardio-Respiratory and Vascular diagnostic department are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced clinic coordinator to support our established team of clinical and administrative personnel and assist in the smooth running of cardio-respiratory and vascular services at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The post will be based at our Leighton Hospital site and the post holder will be part of our clerical team at Mid Cheshire Hospital Trust.

Current services run between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 Monday - Saturday, with the potential to extend to 7 day working as services develop. Hours will be 09:00-17:00 but may be worked on a shift pattern to include weekend and evenings when required.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent organizational and communication skills. You will have an understanding of outpatient appointment booking, managing referrals and clinic booking utilising multiple digital systems and applications.

The postholder will take primary responsibility for the booking of echocardiography appointments although other main duties of the post will include scheduling appointments for a variety of cardiac, respiratory and vascular diagnostic investigations, prioritising urgent referrals, cancelling/reducing clinics according to staff availability, dealing with patient enquiries and providing a friendly and professional reception service.

As you will be working directly with patients and service users, you must have excellent customer care and interpersonal skills. You will also be expected to always maintain a professional and helpful approach.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides good quality, safe and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond. Provide a comprehensive administrative service on behalf of the Trust, undertaking all relevant work-related tasks including:

1. Referral management: creating waiting list entries and maintaining patient demographics and data quality on the patient administration system

2. Appointment management:booking appointments, organising clinics according to staff availability

3. Health Records management:retrieval, preparation and filing of patient information/data

4. General administration:printing correspondence, photocopying or e-mailing reports/letters according to the requirements of the service.

To act as the first point of contact for all patients as they arrive to the department, attending to members of the general public seeking information and support regarding Cardio-Respiratory services.
