We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with good interpersonal skills to work in our University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Pharmacy department.

Our dedicated team offer a stimulating and dynamic working environment. We require employees who will aspire to excellence, share our values and play a crucial role in our on-going achievements.

You must possess excellent communication and organisational skills in order to provide an efficient and safe pharmacy service for patients and the running of the service in a busy environment.

Applicants should have either worked or are working as a pharmacy dispenser andmust hold the QCF/ NVQ level 2 pharmacy services qualification or equivalent.

This role will be based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary Hospital ; however the successful candidate may on occasion be required to work at other UHL sites.

This is an interesting and varied role and involves supporting the service through daily activities within the pharmacy clinical trials department.

You will be a team player, have a strong work ethic and sense of accountability whilst also supporting the team. You will need to have an eye for detail, use your own initiative and be able to work flexibly to tight deadlines in sometimes changing and challenging circumstances.

In addition you will need to be confident in communicating over the phone and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a busy clinical trials environment.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:

• high-quality care for all,

• being a great place to work,

• partnerships for impact, and

• research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

• we are compassionate,

• we are proud,

• we are inclusive, and

• we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
