Summary

Do you have experience in Enteral Nutrition, PEGs, Balloon gastrostomy tubes and Nasogastric Tubes and would like to join BCHC as a Bank Nutrition Nurse?

Do you want to enhance your nursing skills by looking after people with feeding tubes?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Band 6 Nurse to join our well established, award-winning community enteral nutrition nurses’ team.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic bank nutrition nurse to join our department.

This Bank role will work with patients alongside dietitians, community-based district nursing staff and our experienced Nutrition Nursing team to advise and support on all aspects of enteral feeding in adults.

The team liaises closely with acute units, enteral feeding companies, community hospitals and nursing homes in relation to home enteral feeding discharges, assessment for initiation of enteral feeding, direct patient care and staff training.

The successful post holder should therefore have experience in enteral feeding. Working alongside the Specialist Nutrition Nurses, you will gain expert knowledge and support patients in their own homes to prevent admission to hospital.

BCHC provide high quality community and specialist services within Birmingham and the West Midlands. We deliver over 100 clinical services, out in people’s homes and in over 200 healthcare settings for adults, children, people with learning disabilities, those with rehabilitation needs and also dental services. One of our key objectives is to be ‘a great place to work’ enabling everyone within the organisation to be the best that they can be.
