CMM Programmer (6-Month Contract)

Location: Coventry, UK

Employer: Wf Tech (supporting recruitment partner)

Assignment: 6-month contract

Pay Rate: £30–£35 per hour

Working Hours: 08:00 – 16:45

 

About the Role

We are currently supporting a leading Coventry-based precision engineering manufacturer in the recruitment of an experienced CMM Programmer to join their quality inspection team on a 6-month contract basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines to ensure accurate inspection of high-precision components used in a fast-paced engineering environment.

This role is suitable for either an experienced CMM Operator looking to progress or a confident CMM Programmer with strong PC-DMIS experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Programme and operate CMM equipment for precision measurement tasks

• Create, edit, and optimise inspection programs using relevant software

• Inspect components against engineering drawings and GD&T requirements

• Record and report measurement results accurately

• Work closely with quality and production teams to resolve non-conformances

• Maintain high standards of accuracy in a precision manufacturing environment

 

Essential Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years’ experience using PC-DMIS

• Experience as a CMM Operator or CMM Programmer

• Experience with Hexagon CMM machines

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

 

Desirable Experience

• Background in automotive or precision engineering environments

• Experience working in high-spec manufacturing environments
