Summary

A Vacancy at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Perseid Schools are looking for a specialist children’s Physiotherapist to join the team via Bank for Epsom & St Helier Trust.

This is a full time & term-time, Mon-Friday- 08.15-16.15- 30 mins Break Bank role.

The team are looking for the below skills & experience:

- Experience of paediatric physiotherapy and CPIP assessments.

- Ability to manage an independent caseload.

- Experience working with children and young people with SEND, complex needs and a range of physical disabilities.

- Experience completing CPIP assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions.

- Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, goal setting and outcome measurement.

- Experience working within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.

- Knowledge of postural management, orthotics, hydrotherapy and specialist equipment.

- Excellent communication, organisation and clinical reasoning skills.

- Knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and accurate record keeping.

- Experience supporting families, carers, education staff and other professionals.

- Basic IT skills and ability to maintain electronic clinical records.

- Support the Band 7 Physiotherapist in delivering physiotherapy services to children and young people within special school settings.

- Manage an allocated caseload of children and young people with complex physiotherapy needs.

- Undertake assessments, including CPIP assessments, and implement evidence-based treatment programmes.

- Provide physiotherapy interventions across school, home and community settings.

- Work collaboratively with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams to support agreed outcomes.

- Provide reports, clinical records, EHCP advice and Annual Review contributions.

- Deliver training and guidance to parents, carers and education staff.

- Assess and advise on postural management, specialist equipment, seating and hydrotherapy needs.

- Monitor and evaluate intervention outcomes and escalate complex issues as appropriate.

- Contribute to audit, service development and quality improvement activities.

- Support students, assistants and less experienced staff as required
