Summary

Role overview

As our Portfolio Community & Events Lead, you’ll play a key role in delivering a market-leading events programme and resident

experience across the Folk Co-living portfolio. Working closely with the Community & Events Manager, you’ll help create

communities where residents feel welcomed, engaged, and truly at home.  The role centres around delivering events, resident

communications, and community engagement initiatives across the portfolio, bringing warmth, energy, and creativity into every

building. Key areas of focus include:

Events Delivery

* Day-to-day event management from planning to setup and hosting, delivering events to the highest standards according to

calendar in each Folk site

* Drive resident-led events by managing the process and encouraging non-resident ambassadors to contribute to the events

programme

* Collaborate with Events Manager to create vision for events each quarter

* Encourage resident participation and gather feedback on events

* Manage and maintain event equipment and stores to ensure economies of scale are achieved across the portfolio

* Contribute to quarterly event reporting, helping track performance, resident engagement, and portfolio-wide insights

* Take ownership of day-to-day event expense administration and support budget tracking across the portfolio

* Support the wider events and community function during the Community & Events Manager’s absence, working closely with

operational teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience

Customer Experience 

* Welcome new residents and assist with check-ins from time to time

* Help build personal relationships with residents by being a friendly and consistent point of contact

* Foster a sense of community amongst residents by getting to know them, facilitating connections and taking their feedback

onboard

Social Media & Marketing 

* Post updates and event recaps to property social media accounts under the direction of the Portfolio Community & Events Manager

* Help keep digital and physical noticeboards up to date

* Promote development and request great reviews from residents on various platforms

* Manage Eventbrite and other event marketing channels (digital screens, posters, newsletters), ensuring each site has the

correct information for the team to display

* Gather content from events (either directly or via residents/ambassadors) to be shared with the wider Folk team for marketing

purposes

Resident Support & Management

* Work closely with Community Managers at each site, managing key stakeholder relationships to support smooth coordination and

delivery of events

* Support residents, signposting to the relevant services when necessary

* Support with resident feedback collection and help de-escalate basic concerns or conflicts

Qualifications and Experience

* A warm, friendly personality and genuine interest in people and community.

* Some previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or events is ideal.

* Highly organised with good attention to detail. · Confident communicator, both in-person and online.

* Comfortable using social media and basic digital tools (e.g. Google Drive, Canva, or Microsoft Office).

* Reliable, proactive, and willing to pitch in as part of a small and dedicated team.

* A positive, can-do attitude and a flexible approach to shift work and weekend availability.
