Summary

Multimodal Import Freight Operator

Offering a salary of £34,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on experience.

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm.

Birmingham, B37.

Hybrid working

We are working with an established Freight Forwarding organisation who are looking to recruit a Multimodal Import Freight Operator to join their team.

Duties of the Multimodal Freight Operator will include:

• Handling the import operations for Ocean, Air, Road and Courier shipments from start to finish.

• Taking initial enquiry and making bookings with shipping lines, hauliers and airlines.

• Liaising with overseas agents

• Processing all freight documentation, including carrying out customs clearance declarations.

• Ensuring and arranging the safe delivery of freight to final destination.

• Tracking and tracing through to completing the file and passing to accounts for invoicing.

• Providing support related to Freight Forwarding transactions, answering customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.

• Responsible for any administrative duties.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Freight Operators, with proven experience across multimodal operations, or experienced Operators with aspirations to become multimodal.
