Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly skilled and experienced MOT Technician to join a respected automotive service centre in Consett.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to join a well-established team that values quality workmanship and customer service. The MOT Technician will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of vehicle repairs and diagnostics, with clear opportunities for career development.

Benefits:

- Up to £32,000 basic salary, with an OTE of up to £38,000

- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm – no weekends

- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays

Duties of the MOT Technician:

- Perform MOT tests in compliance with DVSA standards

- Diagnose and repair vehicles to high standards as an MOT Technician

- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify wear, tear, and faults

- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction

- Assist with general servicing and maintenance tasks using the latest diagnostic tools and technology

- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and communicate findings effectively to customers

Requirements:

- Valid MOT Licence

- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

- Proven experience as an MOT Technician

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

- Full UK driving licence

- Capable of working to high standards and meeting deadlines
