Vehicle Technician Required in Carlisle

Our reputable automotive client based in Carlisle is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop. The successful Vehicle Technician will play a key role in maintaining high standards of vehicle servicing and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician looking to develop their career within a well-established team.

Duties as a Vehicle Technician:

- Service, adjust, and repair vehicles to manufacturers' specifications

- Conduct comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles

- Identify faults using recognised test procedures and diagnostic equipment

- Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and identify any additional issues

- Recognise and report on vehicle defects or potential failures

- Complete appropriate paperwork detailing repairs and recharge costs

- Maintain a high standard of health and safety compliance throughout all tasks

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics

- Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles, particularly transit vans

- A comprehensive toolkit suitable for light commercial repairs

- Hold a full UK driving licence

- Own a full set of tools suitable for vehicle repairs

- Strong diagnostic skills and technical knowledge
