Summary

The successful candidate will be supported to develop knowledge and skills in a range of urogynaecology assessments, investigations and treatments, including urodynamic studies, uroflowmetry, post-void residual bladder scanning, bladder instillations, pessary management, and teaching intermittent self-catheterisation (ISC). The service runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 16:30, with a multi-professional approach incorporating doctors, nursing staff, physiotherapists and administrative staff. We are looking for someone to work Tuesday to Friday to meet the service needs. The post holder will work closely with a multi-professional team across: Urogynaecology consultants Southampton specialised pelvic mesh complications service Pre-assessment Early pregnancy/gynae assessment unit Bramshaw Womens Unit Theatres Maternity What youll do You will be responsible for providing the safe therapeutic management of a defined patient/ client caseload You will work closely with the multi-professional team You will gain and have an understanding of urogynaecology and work independently within the urogynae clinics You will be supported and training will be provided in order to ensure full knowledge and skills required by the roleWe are looking for a caring, motivated individual who: Has a minimum of a Band 5 entry requiring a Degree qualification, 120 credits at L6 or possess an equivalent knowledge to be assessed through evidence of relevant specialist training, experience or portfolio Competent in urodynamic studies or motivation to undertake training and competence Possesses excellent communication and leadership skills Is able to work as part of a team and under own initiative Full training and mentorship will be provided to support the successful candidate in developing the specialist knowledge and skills required for the role.
