Hi! I’m a happy, sociable 20-year-old looking for two bubbly, kind and caring Personal Assistants to join my team and support me to enjoy life at home and out in the community.
I love getting outdoors for walks, visiting parks, listening to music, enjoying sensory activities and accessing the hydrotherapy pool. I also enjoy bowling, days out to the zoo and relaxing at home in my sensory room.
I’m looking for people who will help me do the things I love, encourage my independence and make each day enjoyable. If you have a good sense of humour, a positive attitude and enjoy making a real difference to someone’s life, I’d love to hear from you!
As my Personal Assistant, you will support me with my daily routines, personal care and accessing the community. I am a full-time wheelchair user and require the use of a hoist for transfers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting me with all aspects of personal care, including showering and brushing my teeth.
Using a hoist to support transfers, including getting me safely into my profiling bed.
Supporting with PEG feeding and administering medication.
Preparing and supporting me with meals and drinks.
Driving me in our wheelchair-accessible vehicle to enjoy outings and activities in the community.
Supporting me to access places I enjoy, such as parks, the hydrotherapy pool, bowling and the zoo.
Helping me enjoy sensory activities and relax at home in my sensory room.
Supporting my safety and wellbeing at all times.
Carrying out light household duties as required.
Working as part of a friendly and supportive team.
